PROJECT
NABONOVEMBER
#
BRIEF
A wish to increase local guests' relationship with the restaurant Hanzo
through a 'neighborhood feeling'.
CONCEPT
A competition held at the restaurant, where guests had the opportunity to take a Polaroid picture of their visit, which was to be displayed on the 'neighbourhood board' in the restaurant. The picture of the month was drawn at the end of November, for which the winner was awarded a hanzo experience menu for everyone present in the picture, as well as one
Instax camera.
FINDINGS
Despite the fact that our initial investigations showed that the guests experienced attachment through the experience of being represented, and that polaroid images, as a social object, are experienced particularly intimately, they could not form a relation of neighborhood to a physical place. On the other hand, the #Nabonovember concept worked particularly well when it was the waiters who showed commitment to involve the guests. Therefore, we could conclude that if our design aims to create a sense of neighborhood at Hanzo, it should involve the waiters to a greater degree, as they act as the human representation of the company and the place.
MY ROLE
The finished concept was the result of joint research, brainstorming and practical execution by the entire group. I was solely responsible for all graphic products in the form of posters, flyers and graphic illustrations, as well as the production of the neighborhood board. In addition, I was also responsible for the collaboration with Madklubben, Hanzo and Instax, as it was I who had established the contact from the start.
